Last week, a dear friend, an American Jew, told me that he would not go to a rally, a meeting at a JCC, or even to shul because he was too afraid.聽
This worries me. This is not the time to crawl under a rock. Just be a proud Jew – in public and with other Jews in Jewish spaces.
And, start planning your next trip to Israel. Maybe for winter vacation. Maybe for Passover or next summer.
Our nephews and nieces, and their children – your kids and grandchildren – will model your reactions. What you do today will influence how they react years from now on campus, in the workplace, on the streets, or in pseudo progressive spaces when they encounter Students For Pogroms and their ilk.
