When you, or your kids, encounter Students for Pogroms or Professors who accuse Jews of deicide (and accusing Israel of genocide is just the post-modern take on Christ Killer), how will you deal?
These students want you to care that well over 30,000 men, women, and children have been murdered by a U.S. ally as revenge for an attack they had nothing to do with.

Murdered. Is that an accurate description of Hamas terrorists killed in battle or even of the civilians that they use as human shields? Not to mention that Hamas is widely supported by the Gazan population.
Revenge. Is that a term that leaves room for Israeli self-defense? Or is “resistance is justified by any means” somehow okay when it justifies murder, rape, kidnapping of babies, sexual violence of Israelis?
For an attack they had nothing to do with. Get real Professor Cooper (who is, by the way, Director of Native American and Indigenous Studies at Purdue. Hamas is indigenous to Gaza.
What can you do? Feel free to write to Professor Cooper (hkcooper@purdue.edu) and give him your feedback. Or, better yet, let the President of Purdue (president@purdue.edu) know about the strong ethical orientation of his staff.

Mr. Wade’s letter was published 8 days after the atrocities of October 7th. Let’s do a reality check.
Hamas kidnapped IDF military officers. Really Mr. Wade? Nepalese and Thai workers at Kibbutz Alumim? Yousef Zyadna, a 53-year-old Bedouin dairy farmer with three of his children? 9-month-old Kfir Bibas, with his 4-year-old brother and parents? You can read about the Bibas family kidnapping here.

The letter claimed a second time that Hamas is using schools and hospitals as human shields. That is not true. But we know that it is true. There is ample video evidence of Hamas fighters using schools (even kindergartens) to launch missiles and store weapons. Hospitals. Don’t get me started. We have evidence of hostages being taken to hospitals (without a single hospital staff fulfilling their humanitarian obligation to report the location of hostages), bodies of Israelis recovered from hospitals, and even videos of the summary execution of a hostage in a hospital. Gaza’s two entry points, which are heavily guarded by the Israeli military, have been shut. The facts, Mr. Wade, the facts. Gaza has multiple entry points with Israel and with Egypt. The operational crossing with Egypt, Rafah, has been shut down intermittently by Egypt for decades, not the least because of Hama’s support for ISIS in the Sinai Peninsula. About Israel shutting its entry points after October 7th, what would you suggest? An open border policy for a people committed to genocide of Israel and Jews?
Would the Purdue Exponent have published a letter to the editor stating that the KKK is actually a benevolent charity organization dedicated to universal brotherhood? Or, that enslaved African Americans were actually free people under long-term employment contracts? Of course not. So, why is it okay to publish the falsehoods of Mr. Wade?
